Charlie was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 3, 1934 to Donald and Virginia Robedeau. He has four brothers, his brother Larry lives in Florida and Jerry in Toledo. A little fun fact is that even though he spent his elementary and middle school years in Toledo, he attended high school at a Catholic boarding school in Phoenix City, Alabama. He earned his college degree years later while raising his family. Charlie is a life-long Catholic and his faith is very important to him.
He even met his wife, Mary Lou, in a church group and they were married for 37 years. They adopted two girls, Judith who lives in Chicago and Therese who resides in Tuscaloosa. He worked for General Electric until his early retirement at 56, then for a distributor of GE products for many years after that, and finally as a Realtor until his retirement at 72. The family moved to the Birmingham area in 1984 where he lived for 22 years and then Calera, AL for 13 years. In March of 2020, he moved to Regency Tuscaloosa to be closer to his daughter Therese. He has always been a lover of dogs. He also enjoys a game of Dominos now and then, but most important to him has been his faith. He has enjoyed partaking in various church activities through the years. He loves to sing and sang in the church choir for over 40 years as well as played the bells for special events. We appreciate you, Charlie!
