Ruby married Hillman “Dock” Fulmer on December 5th, 1957, and moved to the New Chapel Community in Bankston, Alabama where she resided until her move to Regency.

Ruby attended school in Hubbertville. She worked in the garment manufacturing industry for many years and then worked for Wal-Mart in Fayette until she retired. She got up early every Sunday morning and made breakfast and lunch. Most times, there were extra family members to feed when she got home from church.

She has hosted numerous family gatherings over the years. Ruby has two daughters, two sons-in-law, and four grandchildren who she loves to spend time with.
